National Go Canoeing Week is a British Canoeing initiative designed by the Go Canoeing participation programme. The event aims to increase participation and raise awareness of paddlesports.
British Canoeing is the national governing body for paddlesports in the UK. British Canoeing is responsible for leading and setting the overall framework for all the National Canoeing Associations and includes areas such as coaching, participation, competition and representing canoeing interests at a UK level.
Go Canoeing is a programme set up within British Canoeing which is focused on increasing participation by inspiring more people to take to the water more regularly. Alongside National Go Canoeing week a range of captivating and inspiring opportunities have been set up to demonstrate to the nation how fun, social and accessible canoeing can be.
